Blade helicopter training school is a locally owned and operated company based in Ogden, Utah. All of our instructors are high time pilots which means as a student you will have an instructor with over 1,000 hours of flight time.
Minimum requirement to be an instructor anywhere else is 200 hours. At Blade Helicopter we understand the importance of safety and instruction. Included with your training is night time off airport, lighted helipads off airport and you will learn to fly with the most up to date and current avionics in each helicopter. There are no prerequisites required. Anyone can sign up! What happens at the end of your instruction and you don’t own a helicopter? You will have the opportunity to become a flight instructor!
You do NOT have to have a college degree or be good at math, you WILL get to fly right away and you do NOT have complete school, you can quit at any time and YOUR hours will be transferable anywhere in the United States.

Tyler Grant
Business owner, passionate about helicopters, and love flying planes on my free time (dual rated). I’ve been flying for 15+ years. Married with a 4 year old boy. I love outdoors, camping and boating!
Justin Stillwell
Justin is a CFII and Base Manager at Blade Helicopter. He is a former soldier in the United States Army and has always enjoyed flirting with danger while racing motorcycles, scuba diving, training/competing in martial arts. Now, he does so as a helicopter pilot and flight instructor of several years. Justin is a loving husband, father of 4 beautiful children, and a proud grandfather. He and his family love traveling, camping, swimming, kayaking, playing/competing in sports with family and friends.
Levi Newton
Levi is a former USAF helicopter mechanic turned pilot. He loves being around helicopters and is always excited to go up for a flight. When not flying, Levi and his family can be found hiking, mountain biking, or camping.
Dakota Brown
Dakota is a CFI at Blade Helicopter. He was born and raised in small town Idaho and spent his childhood on the farm. Dakota is happily married to his beautiful wife and has two young amazing daughters. He has always had a deep love for helicopters since he was knee high and is excited to have the opportunity to spend his days piloting these remarkable machines.
